The exciting news is stirring in the culinary world as the Hungry Cow, a mouthwatering restaurant, and takeaway service is expanding its roots. Following the successful launch of its first restaurant in Holywell in February 2022, the Hungry Cow is gearing up to plant its second site in the Welsh market town of Mold. Not stopping there, the Hungry Cow has recently announced its plans to open a third venue at the heart of The Fat Cat Café Bar in the iconic welsh seaside beauty of Llandudno.
The Hungry Cow has a knack for taking its mouth-watering cuisine to new heights. In fact, this isn't the first time the innovative restaurant has set up an express kitchen inside another establishment. Currently, it boasts a tempting eat-in and takeaway service at The Jolly Sailor in Prestatyn, Denbighshire. Hungry Cow's ingenious approach to bringing its delicious food to different venues is yet another testament to its creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
Hungry Cow has become a culinary phenomenon known for its colossal burgers, finger-licking wings, and loaded fries that pack a punch of flavour. The mastermind behind these heavenly creations is none other than the skilled chef, Christy Goode, who hails from Flint. Christy set up the business in 2021, where he first rented pub kitchens at the George and Dragon in Flint and the Cross Foxes in Prestatyn, before finally setting up his restaurant in Holywell.
Our food order was placed with Hungry Cow through their app, which was easy to use. However, the delivery time was a little longer than anticipated, taking 1 hour and 15 minutes, arriving 15 minutes late, however, that is sometimes to be expected and it was only 15 minutes late. Although the food was well-packaged, the only major issue I had with our order was the food was not as hot as expected compared to other takeaways, so that could have been better. Initially, the burger didn't look as appealing as the adverts on social media, but it tasted great with the right amount of flavour. The loaded fries and chicken strips were also delicious. Notably, the food had a high-quality taste and presentation, more akin to a restaurant rather than fast food takeaway.
